15. Size Limits for Sperm Whales

The question as to whether the minimum size limit for sperm whales should be altered was discussed by the Scientific Committee and the Technical Committee, both of whom recommended that there was insufficient evidence to make any change. On the proposal of the Commissioner for Canada and seconded by the Commissioner for the U.S.S.R. the Commission accepted this recommendation without voting as there were no objections.
