9. Protection of Humpback in North Atlantic
(from "Chairman's Report of the Sixteenth Meeting")
On the proposal of the Commissioner for Norway, seconded by the Commissioner
for the United States it was agreed by 14 votes to 1 that the total protection
for the humpbacked whale in the North Atlantic afforded under Paragraph 6(1)
of the Schedule should be continued for another five years, ending on 8th
November, 1969, and that that date should be substituted for 8th November,
1964 in Paragraph 6(1).
