15. Infractions

(from "Chairman's Report of the Twentieth Meeting")

The Technical Committee appointed a sub-committee to consider the infractions of the Convention. The sub-committee noted a slight increase in the percentage increase in infractions but did not consider any specific recommendation on the subject was warranted. It pointed to the continuing need for whaling nations to enforce measures designed to keep infractions to a minimum. This view was endorsed by the Technical Committee whose report on the subject was accepted by the Commission.
