Statements were made by Mr. L.K. Boerema of the Food and Agriculture Organization, Mr. R. Gambell on behalf of the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea, Mr. C.A. Lindbergh on behalf of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature and for the Fauna Preservation Society (Mr. A.G. Bourne of the World Wildlife Fund associated himself with Mr. Lindbergh's statement) and Mr. J.C. Walsh of the International Society for the Protection of Animals.
