22. Small Cetaceans

Information on cetaceans and catch regulations was provided to the Scientific
Committee by several countries.
The Committee proposed that members should prepare a summary of the status and
catches of their small cetacean operations for inclusion in future progress
reports.
It also suggested that a sub-committee on small cetaceans be set up to improve
data collection on all world catches of these animals and to review species
and stock identification and other problems.
