25. ANY OTHER BUSINESS

Under this Item, Japan pointed out that only 15 last year and 16 Contracting
Governments this year had presented Scientific Progress Reports, and that
statistics on small cetaceans are obtained from these reports.
It recommended that the six countries which co-sponsored the Resolution on
small cetaceans and had not submitted Progress Reports to cooperate.
New Zealand clarified that it had submitted a report, and Seychelles stated
its would be available within two days of the close of the meeting.
Iceland looked forward to welcoming the Commission to Reykjavik next year, and
thanked the Netherlands for its hospitality.
Japan expressed appreciation for the security arrangements.
New Zealand thanked the Chairman and Secretariat for their work, and was
seconded by St Vincent & The Grenadines and the USA.
